In the first blog in our series, we focused on: What is a Tenant Health Check? And now you have decided that a tenant health check is the right decision – now what?
Expectations From Your Team
Participate in weekly/biweekly/monthly calls (depending on scope/time of project)
Be prepared to talk about existing challenges
Speak to business needs and your Workday roadmap (if one exists).
What to Expect
Your Tenant Health Check consultant will meet with the HRIS team and any other stakeholders to identify key areas of concern. Your consultant should use that as a starting point, but sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know! From there, your consultant will review key areas within Workday® and find common issues where customers might have a process configured that isn’t working in the best method.
One example of things to be reviewed: how many open transactions exist in your tenant? Your consultant will review the Business Process Types that are not being completed, or not being completed in a timely manner.
That may lead to the conclusion that perhaps you have business processes that are not configured in the Best Practice that is the Best for YOUR Practice.
Some examples of other areas to review include:
Dashboards/Hubs to assist with ESS, MSS, Executive & HR use
Effective and efficient use of position management
Core organization structure
A methodology to manage the twice-a-year Workday upgrades
Outcome of your Tenant Health Check
You will meet with your Tenant Health Check consultant throughout the timeline to answer questions, provide input and help drive the final deliverable.
Once the full tenant review is completed, you will receive a document outlining what was reviewed, what was discovered and how it aligns with your goals/roadmap (or become the basis for a roadmap). You will also receive the level of effort required to uptake the specific change.
Your team will review this final workbook with the consultant and work together on identifying an initial plan of priority and discuss whether you would need external support.
Conclusion
Your Tenant Health Check will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the items that are important to your team. You could also opt in for a high-level PowerPoint presentation to accompany the Tenant Health Check workbook, which could be used for executive stakeholder review and approval for upcoming support needs.
