World Premiere at pre-Rising: Share Clues, a Card Game
brought to you by the Customer Sharing Movement

Share Clues is a new and exciting game from the Customer Sharing Movement, testing your wit, and knowledge of important Workday® terms while engaging in some friendly competition.

It is inspired by other two-team modern board and card games. Each team designates one Clue Giver. The Clue Giver provides keywords to their team to get them to point to specific words on the 5x5 Grid. Correctly guess all of your team's words on the 5x5 Grid, and you win!

This game is a great way to learn and collaborate with other Sharing Fans. Join us for a pre-release, virtual game of Share Clues on the next Sharing Café

And be sure to register for the CSM Sunday Fun and Games Party (09/15/2024, in Las Vegas, 6pm - 10pm) for the world premiere. Form your team of 3 or more in advance, or during the party, to enter the tournament.

1. Divide into Teams: Split the players into two teams of roughly equal size. Each team selects one player to be the Clue Giver.

2. Set Up the Grid: Lay out 25-word cards in a 5x5 grid on the table.

3. Take a Clue Giver Card: The Clue Givers from each team sit on the same side of the table and draw a Clue Giver Card. This card shows which words belong to the red team, which to the blue team, which are neutral, and which is the assassin. The Clue Giver Card is placed on a stand so only the Clue Givers can see it.

Here's an overview of how the game works.

4. Distribute Guessing Cards: Each team gets a set of guessing cards in their color. There are also neutral cards.

5. Determine Starting Team: The Clue Giver Card will indicate which team starts. This is indicated by the long color strip on each side of the Clue Giver card. The starting team will take the two-side Guessing card (red on one side and blue on the other), flip it so their color is on top, and add it to their set of Guessing card. This is because the team that goes first will have one extra word to guess.

1. Clue Giver’s Turn: The Clue Giver from the active team gives a one-word clue and a number. The clue should relate to the words on the grid that the team needs to guess. The number indicates how many words on the grid are related to the clue.

2. Team Discussion: The team members discuss the clue and try to identify the words on the grid that match the clue. They can guess up to the number given by the Clue Giver plus one additional word if they feel confident.

  • Correct Guess: If the word belongs to their team, the team places one of their Guessor Cards on the word.

  • Neutral Word: If the word is neutral, a neutral card is placed on it, and the turn ends.

  • Opponent’s Word: If the word belongs to the opposing team, the opposing team’s Guesser Card is placed on it, and the turn ends.

  • Instant Lose Word (X): If the word is the assassin, the game ends immediately, and the team that guessed the assassin loses.

3. End of that Team's Turn: The turn ends either when the team decides to stop guessing or when they make an incorrect guess. The other team then takes their turn.

The game continues with teams alternating turns until one team has placed all their Guesser Cards on their words, or until a team guesses the instant lose card and loses.

  • The team that guesses all their words first wins!

Tips:

  • Clue Givers should think of clues that connect multiple words to have the best chance at winning.

  • If you can't think of a good clue as a Clue Giver, give a clue that only connects to one word instead of multiple words.

  • Be careful with your guesses to avoid the "Instant Lose" word!
